This week, the Year 5 pupils have been to visit Father Paul at Saint Chad’s church. He welcomed Year 5 in and took them through the steps of Baptism. Father Paul took great care to explain the significance of the symbols and prayers that we, as a Catholic community, use in this important first sacrament of initiation.
Using role play, Year 5 even baptised their class baby and some of the children acted as parents and God-parents. Fr Paul then answered their questions that were created as part of their last lesson of their Baptism unit. Year 5 would like to thank Father for his precious time and his answers to their questions.
