Event - Advent Assembly

25 November 2016

On Friday 25th November Year 4 led the school in a special assembly to celebrate the beginning of Advent. They explained what Advent was and talked away the ways in which we prepare ourselves to celebrate Christmas.

All of the children wrote Advent promises before the assembly. Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 hung their promises on the Christmas tree whilst the older children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 placed theirs in the empty manger.

Year 4 finished their assembly by reminding us that the decorations and shopping are not as important as the real meaning of Christmas.
